It never fails.... NEVER fails! Whenever we have a bus trip, the game before we leave always goes extra innings. The bus departs 75min (i know i know, that's one hour and fifteen minutes, but it is always posted in minute form) after the game ends. Last night (or this morning, depending on how you want to look at it) the bus is scheduled to leave for Oklahoma City at 12:50AM. Our game went 13 innings and we lost. Dammit! We stopped at 4AM at a truck stop for Subway. Mmmmmmmmm, nothing sounds better at 4AM than Subway... really? Really? It is a 6 hour bus ride and is taking place in the morning. Everyone was asleep until we lurch into the truckstop for Subway. Was it necessary to stop? Really? I don't think anyone would have said one word if we would have gotten to the hotel at 6:30 instead of 7 and didn't stop. Oh well. It is daylight when we get to the hotel and, of course, my windows face east. Even with the curtains drawn, it is bright as hell in my room. I dozed on and off until about one, then got up, checked my email, and am writing this.
I know you all missed my ramblings because of the flooding of my inbox with your angry emai.... oh wait. I only got one. From Allison. But, it was filled with enough expletives for all of you, haha! Just kidding, but she did get on my case.
I feel like a zombie right now. I slept for 3 hours on the bus and maybe a total of 3 in my room. I am tired. AND we have to go to the field at the regular time, take batting practice on the field, pitchers (and Frankie) have to run and do their conditioning, then we have a game at 7pm. I am going to fall flat on my face after the game and not move until we go to the gym in the morning. More tomorrow, I promise.
